This is often requested to form part of an Environmental Impact Assessment & Environmental Reports such as Annual Environmental Returns (AERs). It may also be requested as a one off event by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or Local Authorities (Planning, Environment or Water Services Sections). Monitoring can establish baseline environmental quality levels and where applicable satisfy the condition requirements of an IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention Control), Waste Licence, Waste Facility Permit or Discharge Licence.
